The series has been licensed for English-language release by Viz Media, and began serialization in their weekly digital manga anthology Weekly Shonen Jump on February 9, 2015. Simulpub chapters are released weekly on the same day as the Japanese release. Shueisha began simulpublishing the series in English on the website and app Manga Plus in January 2019.



The popular manga series comes to the big screen. Izuku Midoriya is a regular middle school student in a world where people with superpowers known as Quirks are the norm. However, he dreams of one day becoming a Hero, for lacking a Quirk, despite being intimidated by his classmates. The story follows Izuku's entrance into U.A. High School, a school that cultivates the next generation of superheroes



High school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he’s part of the 20% without a Quirk. Unwilling to give up his dream, he plans to take the exam and be accepted into a high school for budding heroes. Through a series of serendipitous events, he catches the eye of the greatest hero, All Might, who agrees to train him.

This takes place in a world where almost everyone has powers, even though these powers are limited. Izuku Midoriya is one of the few who have not developed his powers yet, but that changes after the meeting with All Might!
